I had the wonderful opportunity to illustrate again the FLIP (Foundation for Press Freedom) magazine.

This time, the topic was the entire context that surrounds rural social leaders who also do journalistic work in their regions, which leaves in very dangerous and exposed places in Colombia

I received the 2022 Simón Bolivar Award for being part of the incredible team of journalists and photographers who made public the complaint of civilians killed in state amenos in Puerto Leguízamo.

My illustrations accompanied the account of this massacre.

María Bernarda Juajibioy was murdered along with her one-year-old granddaughter.

She was indigenous leader and land protector  in Cauca, Colombia. A tribute to her, because it´s forbidden to forget.

I had the opportunity to illustrate the 2022 cover of the FLIP magazine (Foundation for Press Freedom)

2021 was a horrible year for Colombian children. Between the pandemic, police brutality, government abandonment and violence.

I was invited to do the cover of a magazine that invites reflection on our society. This was the result.
